I was watching Justin Barron all year and he had a down year battle a couple injuries and was on a real bad team but if i am Bergevin i would try to nove up in late first round. Trading our second round pick with Washington 3rd round for the 24-28 pick overall. Barron would be a real nice pick if he is still available by that rank.

Of course! I just wanted to make realistic choices based on the rankings as of now. Honestly, I doubt Drysdale is happening (LA, ANA and NJ are all taking him unless they were to move into the top 3). Raymond could happen if OTT take Rossi with one of their picks and if no teams behind 8 move into the top 3... In that scenario, Laffy, Byfield, Stutzle, Rossi and Drysdale all go in the top 5. Then its up to NJ and BUF to NOT pick Raymond... NJ could realistically draft Askarov (if they're scared of CHI picking him at 9) or Holtz (to play him on Hughes' wing) and BUF will probably take a center, so Lundell (might even go in the top 5) or Perfetti would be their pick... This lands us Raymond. He's my guy if we don't move up

Well, most 2019 mock have him in the top 7-8 on here. Plus, if I'd ask you the question one year ago (if CC could be available at 15) you'd consider me a fool.

For an 18 year old freshman in the NCAA its pretty great actually! Plus, he was playing on one of the worst and younger team in the whole NCAA... Turcotte doesn't even have a similar ppg and he's got basically the same stats as Zegras (who's had a lot of hype since the WJC).

This drafted is screw tbh. CC should have gone higher, Peyton Krebs should have gone higher. Connor Mcmicheal and Nick Robertson should have gone top 10

Perfetti or Rossi or both will be available at 8. Plus there's always the chance (however anti-percentage) that Buffalo takes Askarov (!). But you may take a look at Jack Quinn, too.

Don’t know about those last 2, since it’s always hard to tell anything in the CHL, since anyone can play well. Time will tell with those two. Otherwise I agree. Krebs fell because of his injury scare, and Caufield fell because of his size.

Definitely. I really like those 8, and if we get 9 (which has a 36% chance of happening) there’s an ok chance that someone picks someone unexpected in the top 8 (like Detroit with Seider) but I’d love for it to be guaranteed.

or maybe someone drops like Chychrun did going from #4OA NA skaters pre draft to #16OA at the draft .

Seth Jones was talked about as #1 OA material because his his strong play his draft year
he fell to 4th OA i believe it was .

rankings may think a team with many Centers should take a Center when they need a Defensman 3 spots later .
