Thoughts? I might have missed the person you're thinking of because of cap constraints. These are just based off of my opinion and some checking around on hockeyviz.com
I dont know much about matt roy but Slavin and Spurgeon are great calls. Blake coleman could also be on here. Hes also one of the best penalty killers in the league
Val nuke>>>>>Calvert, also look at Bjorkstrand from CBJ, love the defense too
That's a good point. Nichushkin went from 1-way to 2-way this year. Calvert was my least confident choice, I just ended up with like 3m and an empty 4th line spot. Changing it now.
Jenner and Bjorkstrand from Columbus are options. Not sure either are better 2 way players then any of the forwards listed outside of ZAR... also I think Rinne should be one of the goalies... he’s solid defensively and the best offensively... (he has a goal this season).
Look at CF% (Corsi at even strength), filter for players who've played at least 20+ games, look at centremen (because they get more defensive duties, i.e. defensive zone starts - so are much more hampered by their CF% score), and look for centremen you know get the 1st line matchups. Danault is top in the league (he gives quite the boost to Gallagher's and Tatar's score). Second in the league is Couturier, 3rd Aho, followed by Bergeron in 4th.
Depending on how you define "two-way"; whether you look at PK duties, or something else. CF% is useful to see how effective a two-way centre is 5-on-5. Aho, Bergeron, and Danault are at the top because of the turnovers they can cause in the neutral zone (and they have some proper teammates to play with - the debate then is how useful are they on their own...)
