I have him at 12th, but usually McKenzie’s scouts have the best gauge on how NHL teams feel and he was in the 50’s

Bozak has been worth 2 WAR this yea, was on pace for 35 points, and only has one year left at 5 mil. That is not bad.

A old player who is has a cap hit of 5mil and only getting 35 points is not worth it bro. Dude only has 13 goals would have gotten like 16 that contract is a bust.
Calgary would rather sign a big man free agent then take Bozak

Veteran centers who are decent at all situations are valuable even if their point totals are meh. Bozak is only 2.5 million more than Bennet and would be a big upgrade

No thanks from CGY we already have Ryan and Backlund as vet centers who are as good/better at the exact same things. Bennett is still young we will keep him and not trade him for cap dumps

I agree with you. Bozak while a tad bit overpaid is an extremely useful forward for any team.
Sam Bennett is pretty terrible so I have no idea why Calgary fans think they lose this trade.

Sam Bennett has 12 points in 52 games in his 5th NHL season. There isn't much more to see here and any team taking a chance on him is hoping he breaks out. He will most likely be a bottom-six forward who could slide into the top 6 when needed.
Bozak wins near 55% of his faceoffs and would be a pretty decent upgrade at 3C

Fair, but are Blais and Bozak not clear upgrades to Calgary’s forward group? Maybe it’s not as sexy an option, but it is a pretty sizable upgrade for 3 million and trading down 60 picks.

I think there'd be interest in Bozak, doubt you'd get a lot for him but he could be moved elsewhere, teams always need decent centers.

That was my thoughts as well, I tried to thrown in Blais and some other stuff to try and increase the return.

Bozak seems like a guy Buffalo could use, the fact he only has one year left should appeal to teams who are just looking for a temporary stop-gap solution.

That was my first day thought as well, problem is Bozak has an M-NTC and usually Buffalo tends to be on those. All three of the western Canada teams make sense, maybe the Rags, maybe Philly depending on Patrick

Even if Patrick returns Philly seems like a good fit for Bozak.

The thing is, Philly’s forwards even without Nolan/Lindblom are already preposterous and I don’t know if they need more. They could’ve used him this year though.
