Gotta agree on Little. If the League and the PA agree to a compliance buyout, I would be marking Little as targets 1-5. It's crappy, but that $6 million to put into a player that can stay healthy and produce.

If New jersey could retain 90% on Subban I still wouldn't want him, the guy is terrible, this isn't 25 year old Subban anymore, I don't get the fascination with this guy, he's done.

NJD isn't going to spend a high first round pick just to move some of Subban's cap hit.

I don't see the motivation. His contract is so bonus heavy, they are already on the hook for 6m next year because no one would trade for him until the bonus was paid out. Then at 2m retained, that's 4m. So 10m of the real world 16m he's owed just to swap picks and save cap space that they have plenty of. Other teams are the ones who need the cap space right now -- it should have more of a premium. Otherwise just accept the sunk cost and get the best possible player.

They do get 2 solid prospects as well. And that 2M is destined from cap hit not real money so it will be retaining that percentage from whatever is left after the bonus
