How is it not close? This is an NHL ready right handed defenceman, a forward who can play in the bottom 6 and kill penalties, a first rounder and a high caliber NHL defensive prospect. I know I may not be 100% on the money but I didn't think I was "not even close"

It's not even close. Connor is on a great deal, he's among the best goalscorers in the league. Trading for Connor will be expensive. You're not getting an elite or close to elite goalscorer for a package like that. 2020 1st, A-prospect and a top 6 forward are needed to start a conversation
