The CROSBY Cap - My 20-21 Pittsburgh Penguins w 87m Cap - Goalie Trades

Description
I WENT A LIL OVERBOARD ON THIS WITH NO HOCKEY ON , LOL
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

** Before anyone goes nuts about MAF coming back, READ the trade **
- I have never been 1 of those MAF lovers or a Murray basher but I would not mind Flower coming back to
mentor Jarry OR Hill to be the Starters in net. PLUS, MAF could still be great at a 30-35 game starter.
+ Sid gets his BFF back to sit beside on plane, lol.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Big" Off-season moves :

FORWARDS-
- RW- Marty Necas #88 - Sid / Geno gets that possibly Elite young RH-winger they need at this point in both their careers
- L/RW- Sammy Blias #9 (#39) - This is the exact kind of guy Pens need, a big hitter, disrupter, forechecker, but still has speed and can play.
- F- Jack Dugan (Providence) - Pittsburgh's own - This kid is a beast, going to be a hell of a Top 9 player. (maybe a yr away)

D-Men-
- RHD- Big Buyfuglien #33 - Gets out of contract, comes back rested & healthy - Talk about a perfect need here?
- LHD- Haydn Fleury #4 - The former #7 overall pick would fit perfect in Pens system - GMJR steals another D-man.

GOALIES -
- G- MAF #29 - he would be the best back-up in NHL.
- G- Adin Hill #31 - The kid has "it"

Other Players Reasons-
- 3C - Nick Bjugstad #27 - This dude can NOT stay healthy. But in a contract yr, I give him 1 last chance (bc we still have 19 as a 3C) + 27 has 0 Trade value now.
- RW/C -(E-Rod) Rodrigues - comes back for cheaper as RFA (like Schultz did after 1st season here) but I really like this kid alot.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Pens 1st Call Ups from WBS
- C- M. Granlund
- C/RW- S. Lafferty
- C/RW- V. Lettieri
- RW- A. Angello
- LW- M. Salomaki
- LD- A. Borgman
- RD- Z. Trotman
- RD- J. Schmaltz
- G- A. HIll

Young Pens (WBS) that could surprise
1- LW- D. O'Conner
2- L/RW- S. Poulin
3- C/LW- J. Dugan
4- LW- P. Hallander
5- C/LW- J. Bellerive
6- LW- K. Bjorkqvist
7- L/RW- S. Miletic
8- LHD- POJ
9- G- C. Booth

  1. Booth, Callum [Droits de RFA]
  2. Fleury, Haydn [Droits de RFA]
  3. Necas, Martin
  4. Choix de 2e ronde en 2020 (CAR)
Détails additionnels:
* TRADE at end of season
- Love Necas & IMO- think he has potential to be a top 10 type NHL Winger.
- H. Fleury could fit Pens D-system perfect & needs a change at this point w/ just now getting a steady chance in line-up bc of injuries.
- Booth is a solid Goalie prospect who I've liked since draft yr.
CAR
  1. Murray, Matt [Droits de RFA]
  2. Riikola, Juuso [Droits de RFA]
  3. Choix de 5e ronde en 2020 (PIT)
Détails additionnels:
Trading a 25 yr old - 2 time Stanley Cup winning Goalie into own division, must be worth it.
* I love Murr's but I don't believe in paying Goalies big money, Plus IMO- 30 would be the missing piece in CAR.
- Riikola is a very good D-man.
2.
PIT
  1. Hill, Adin [Droits de RFA]
  2. Choix de 4e ronde en 2021 (PIT)
Détails additionnels:
- A. Hill is a Ginormous 6'-6" young Goalie that will be a legit Starting Goalie in a yr or 2. Also would be a perfect 3rd Goalie type for Pens.
ARI
  1. Aston-Reese, Zach
  2. Choix de 7e ronde en 2021 (PIT)
Détails additionnels:
- ZAR is a great Defensive Forward that ARZ analytics team will love.
3.
PIT
  1. Dugan, Jack [Liste de réserve]
  2. Fleury, Marc-André (1 750 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
* MAF comes back to mentor Jarry & Hill.
-Essentially MAF comes back for 1 yr @ $5.25m then will end up in Seattle in Expansion Draft. MAF could still be a very good 30-35 game back-up.
* For taking MAF Cap $
- Pens get Pittsburgh's own Jack Dugan, this kid is a beast to play against & has been racking up the points in Providence.
VGK
  1. DeSmith, Casey
  2. Ölund, Linus
Détails additionnels:
VGK - Need to clear Cap space w/ $73m invested into only 13 players for 20'-21' & also need to re-sign Lehner.
- DeSmith is still a very good back-up, who is stuck in WBS.
4.
PIT
  1. Blais, Samuel [Droits de RFA]
Détails additionnels:
I'd love a 4th line of ...
Tanev - Blueger - Blais
STL
  1. Simon, Dominik [Droits de RFA]
Détails additionnels:
Simon is the better player but the Pens need at least 1 guy that can hit, instead of the Pens Hug/Hit

No he isn't and Dugan is the best player in the NCAA, no way a AHL starter and a B prospect get you him alone

How can you claim that??? The guy has struggled because VGK has been overplaying him a ton since he's been there and because his father died... he's still a very good number one.

So Jack Johnson isn’t actually a cap dump because the pens have been overplaying him and his parents robbed him blind?

He’s 35 trending down & making 7 million a year. He’s hated by the fans in Pittsburgh, they have downplayed him as one of the worst goalies in the league.

GMJR said on his show 2weeks ago that Poulin & POJ will be battling for roster spots next yr & Bellerive & Miletic could be call ups w/ questions about Hallander & Bjorkqvist both coming off broken legs.

- I prob agree w/ u about ARZ but I think Hill will be a starting goalie in NHL for a long time, I just really like his size w/ Jarry's athletic ability as a goalie mix going forward & he'd be a great #3 for this yr

Ur prob rite - Just did as a cap dump & w/ MAF's NTC - VGK mite not have many options if they want to re-sign Lehner.

Plus, I am a big fan of Dugan too + he is from Pittsburgh.
Do u think he finishes w/ Providence? Or turns pro?

IDK about POJ, he looked just out of place in the beginning of the year, I haven't watched him much recently, imo, Poulin needs at least another year in juniors (well he doesn't need that... just required by the CHL i would assume, he really didn't need this yr) and a year in the A to get used to playing against people his own size and strength... and who can skate... and who have somewhat comparable skill levels... he's not getting any of that in juniors, he also had the BEST team in the CHL this yr to help him... Bellerive, maybe he's good, idk, he just never stood out to me like other guys in the A (Miletic, Noesen when he was there, Adam Johnson, Ago...) Hallander has been really good since coming back from all accounts I've heard, nothing to worry about there imo, only his transition to NA ice... Bjorkqvist just sucks rn, had a season ending injury, was not good in the A before then, probably lost some development with the injury, and had a somewhat uninspiring year at Providence last season... He'll need at least a full year in the A, if not more... then he'll just be getting too old to develop much farther...

I pretty much agree w/ all u said but that is what GMJR said tho.... I really think he is planning on putting Poulin on 23 man roster next yr??
- Defensive D-men like POJ are tough to judge in AHL bc I remember thinking Harrington was going to be better than Dumo - LMAO, boy was I wrong.
- I kno Miletic has been good all year & Bellerive has been really good since 20 or 25th game (maybe he is finally healthy?)
- I still think Bjorkqvist is going to be a very good bottom 6 guy in NHL but could take him 2yrs in A
- I havnt heard nothing about Hallander since leg.
