Look at Doughty and Hayes contracts. I used them as a base when thinking of the cap hit. I can definitely see Debrusk being closer to $5M but it's about time someone in Boston actually gets paid what they're worth. But I'm probably wrong and Krug will sign for $2M or something like that since no one in the Boston cares about money.

Regardless, their team is unreal and all their players will fit next year for another cup run

If that's true then Krug shouldn't even be in the NHL lol Doughty is going to have one of the worst contracts in the league soon if he keeps playing as poorly as he has. It ain't 2012 anymore. If Krug is a top 2 Dman, he shouldn't be getting anything less then $7.5M

Those deals are laughable. Take at least 2M off Krug and Debrusk will sign significantly closer to 5 - 5.5M. Brett Ritchie will not be re-signed. Bjork will get similar contract to Heinen.

Hayes outright said that for him to go to Philly they were going to have to over pay for him. That is a terrible contract, and Doughty's contract is also going to look very bad down the road, similar to Subban's now.

He’s not a top two d man. He’s never been a top two d man. Before last season he was on the bottom pair most of the time. Drew Doughty is an awesome D man playing on a garbage team.

2012....cmon. The guy was 2nd in Norris voting in 2018 and even got MVP votes.

I see both Krug and Debrusk as better than the both of them and I still gave them a less AVV. I think Debrusk is fair at $5M min and Krug $7.5M MIN. I used worst case scenario for the contracts BUT since it's Boston everyone is going to take a discount anyways. Regardless, they'll have enough room to bring everyone back and will go for the cup again

How has he been average over 21 minutes a night for the last 4 seasons if he's not a top 2 dman. He's a 2 time all star and has been putting up over 55 points a season for the last 4. Don't know how you're not seeing this.

If you've been watching Doughty for the last 3 years you'll know he's taken a big step back. He's over 30 ... **** changes fast man

Ya, I’m sure he sucked in that year where he was runner up for the Norris and got MVP votes. Must have been dreadful.

Krug gets a minutes boost because he’s such a powerplay specialist. He has never been one he top pair. Only in the last two years has he come top 4.

I think thats a good range to use when predicting his contract depending on the term. Again, $2M to Boston is nothing with all the space they have.

It's 2020 now, he's taken a step back. Been poor this year and will only go downhill if he doesn't change something.

but you're right since he plays well on the powerplay he deserves less money. He's been averaging the second/first most Minutes on Boston for 4 years like cmon.... this is one of his lowest avg TOI since 2014-2015. Mans getting paid this summer ... if he wants to that is

My 2 cents worth:
DeBrusk $4-5.5M
Krug $6.5-7M

And US$2Mil in CAP can be huge, just ask Dubas who would give his left n u t to have that kinda dough to play with...
Might want to add Stud or Vaak to complete the 23-man roster and just see where your cap is then?

Tooooooooo much for Krug
Tooooo much for Debrusk
Too much for Ritchie
Griz will probably get a longer deal worth a little more but thats not a bad bridge

Overall not terrible, you just gotta fix those few deals. Also thank you for not trying to sign Halak for like 2 million lol, its not gonna happen
