Clifford is nothing more then a 4th liner. Hes not very effective in the top 9, same with spezza.

Holl hasn't looked great lately but he is very good with muzzin. Hes a good cost controlled player who is successful in a shut down role and fits keefes system. I dont think trading him is a good idea. I dont think hes worth 2 million on his own but if he stays in the top 4 with muzzin he is worth that.

Koivu is a good pickup.

Kerfoot has been excellent at 3c with kappy. That pair with engvall has been in the 60% xG range, that's insane. They are defensively responsible, all extremely fast and can chip in. Keeping them together is the best way to do it. Unless they are able to find an upgrade on kerfoot they should just keep him.

Selling high on Hyman is such a good idea. Hes an extremely effective bonafide 1st liner now whose shooting over 20% with a ton of ENGs. Hes next contract will be rough unless hes willing to take a discount. If hes willing to take a discount they should trade him for a haul (which tons of teams will overpay for him) then bring him back in the offseason as a ufa.

I know I've made a ton of points here but trading rielly is the way to go

Obviously you can't seeing that you just signed a player that you know longer have, Plus want to trade said player for something. When said player is no longer under your control. Obviously you're the one not with it here.

2) hes signing will be at 29y and proly 5y Term is minimum, so he will be 34-35y at the end of contract

3) right now he can be seen as high trade chip that alone would make some GMs think to toss No3 Quality Defender for him and if you package him with more goodies......

4) "Core 4" are eating 40M, for a grinder in those two lines you can bring in 900k kid, TML setup isnt balanced, Hyman and "wannabe" C Kerfoot should be expandable

5) to backup the above i will try to paint it with numbers from last 2 years, since Tavares arrived and TML window for being proper Contender opened :
