Just wondering what people think of Evgeni... wait, Denis, Malgin since he joined the Leafs?

Keefe seems pretty high on him for a top line role.

How much better is Malgin then Timashov ? And on the top of that another Hyman-type-of-grinder was lost due trade, his name is Marchment.......so two 4th line players for one.....

Timashov ...39 GP....9 Points, no leverage to demand anything beyond 2 x 900k....4th Line RW or Bracco
Marchment....4 GP.................no leverage to demand anything beyond 2 x 900k....4th Line LW grinder

Malgin........47 GP.......10 Points, Rookie Season comparable to Timashov, in all four Seasons hes average 15 Points per Season, so 2 x 1,5M fro his next contract in already tight Cap for 2020 / 2021

I actually thought they traded for him to flip him over in a package with Barrie .....

We could add Korshkov to the list, who had good looks when he was on (with 1 G in 1GP).

Non-tender Malgin, I would prefer singing Brazeau or Conrad to an ELC than have Malgin.

Currently teams con only have 50 pro contracts, Malgin does not need to be one with the Leafs.

Malgin is most likely a AAAA player. Too good for AHL, but only really suitable to specific NHL situations like a rebuilding team or PP specialist on the 2nd unit (SPEZZA role from 2019/2020)
