Mikheyev can probly even take less on a 1 year deal if you want, due to the injury this year. I also know the D is a little lack-luster this way, which is why I think the Leafs will resign Dermott to be able to package him+ Johnsson or Kapanen for some real RHD help giving Rielly a good D partner (worth up to 5 mil) and push Holl to the second pair with Muzzin.

The point is they have options. They're not SCREWED as so many people seem to think.

Robertson can't go to the AHL due to not aging out of the OHL but he could play pro elsewhere like Matthews did his draft year. That might actually be the best option as he's obviously too good for the OHL but should probly learn to play his style against men before having a snif in the NHL if we don't want him to drastically change the type of player he is.
