I thought the Leafs were awful and should sell at the deadline since they lost to a zamboni driver

The Leafs are now in full powerhouse mode with wins over Tampa, Florida and Vancouver and no way Dubas is going to break up this group of talented young players as they are just going to get better and better in the future and bring a Cup home to Toronto. The Leafs remind me of the Penguins and Hawks Stanley Cup winners with their great core of young star players and you just knew they were both going to win a number of Cups.

Crosby and Kane had cups before they turned 22, Matthews is 22 and hasnt made the 2nd round. Not very similar, Leafs are a bubble playoff team

I assume you would have also called the St. Louis Blues last year a bubble playoff team as well. You need to realize that the Leafs have been a new team since Sheldon Keefe took over as coach and actually have one of the better winning records in the entire NHL since he was hired. Sheldon Keefe has an incredible winning record of every hockey team he has ever coached and he is starting to develope the Leafs into a winning team right before your eyes and you do not even realize it.

STL is different because they had goalie come in and post an under 2 GAA, and they are built completely different than the leafs, with your theory you could argue the exact same thing about any NHL team in the league.

Leafs into a winning team? They lost to a zamboni driver, they are pathetic. 25-17 under Keefe is good but leafs are just going to be knocked out in the first round

There is no team in the NHL like the Toronto Maple Leafs that have 4 Elite forwards like Tavares, Matthews, Marner and Nylander and when you also add quality forwards like Hyman, Mikheyev, Kapanan, Kerfoot, Johnsson and Spezza you have the formation of the most powerful offensive group of forwards in the entire NHL and it is not even close so I disagree with comment that you could argue the exact same thing about any NHL team in the league.

The Leafs wins under Keefe would be much higher if they had not lost to injuries Rielly, Muzzen, Ceci, Mikheyev and Johhnsson during this season. The Leafs are really going to surprise some teams in the playoffs this year and they are trending in the right direction and will be getting some of the injured players back before the playoffs.

Not sure what you are trying to imply about the zamboni driver as he is an experienced practice goalie for both the Leafs and Marlies who was called up to play in a game that he really faced hardly any shots because his team stepped up and played incredible defence in front of him.

The Blues, who had made significant roster changes in the summer of 2019, ended last season with four months of consistent top-tier play (underlying numbers and results), finished a point off the top of their division and 14 points clear of missing the playoffs. They have continued top-tier play this season. That was not a bubble team.

No signing Clifford unless we make the playoffs and Campbell has 6 wins. (the other condition for the sexond)

Signing Clifford isn't worth a second

They need to bite the bullet and trade marker or Nylander and really even out the blue line trade marner add a quality dman and still have cash to add a mid range ufa. It's that or wait for Boston to age out or Tampa to crumble under its cap

Leafs are also 27th in GA, who cares if you score alot if you let in the puck just as much. Leafs are 11th in Man games lost, so its not really an excuse. You're more blinded by the leafs than James Tanner is lmao
