What an absolute rip off for the Rangers. Lundqvist is a cap dump but its only for a year and the Rangers dont really need to dump it since they have enough cheap entry level deals on the books for another year or two. Burns' contract is a negative, Jones is a huge negative. This is a get out of jail free card for the sharks for two terrible contracts they have. No way the Rangers are going to voluntarily help the sharks stop sinking by taking on two giant anchor contracts only to start drowning themselves because of it. They have Shesterkin as a star starter for the next 6-7 years at least and a stacked right side defense. They are going to most likely be unloading a RHD to make room for lundkvist whos killing it in the SHL. They aren't going to get Burns only to have to jettison another younger, cheaper, better in the long run RHD.

Why do people keep trying to dump Burns' **** contract on the Rangers? That's probably one of the teams that least needs a RHD league-wide. Send him to TOR or something

Not interested in Burns, hes too old and that contract makes me want to gag combined with his age.
