Description
***

Jesse Ylonen joins the Laval Rocket as part of a loan agreement with the PelicansFI ( is Liiga team ), he will join the Rocket after this week-end ( the Pelicans have 2 games this week-end )

***

Since it's a loan, he doesn't need to sign is ELC and will be allowed to play in the playoffs if Laval gets qualified !

Big news !

Let's hope the Wisconsin Badgers get sweep so Cole Caufield can sign is ELC and participate to the playoffs too !

I honestly hope Caufield stays in college for another season. Poehling came too early as well as Primeau. Let them season in college.

No, Caufield team is so bad and will be worse next year, we need to develop them in Laval. Ryan Poehling didn't came too fast, he wasn't ready for the NHL, that's it ( even if he didn't played bad ).
Let Joel Bouchard work with them, look what he did with one year of Fleury, Kulak was a nobody when he came to MTL and now he's a NHLer

Ryan Poehling did come too fast. He's played all season on the 3rd line in the AHL and has been pretty lackluster all season. He simply wasn't ready for it and he isn't developing at the pace we expected because we have other talented players who play over him in Laval.

Kulak played 71 games with Calgary in the season we acquired him. He played 19 AHL games and didn't improve. He was always a #6 defensemen.

Not sure why you mentioned Fleury, he started in Laval last season and he's there now. He's was 20 Years old last year so you expect him to improve.

You are stupid, you think if you pass 1 season in Laval you're NHL ready the year after ? They need 2-3 seasons for others 4 seasons in the AHL before jumping in the NHL

Honestly I would love to have Caufield in Laval. It would would be nice for him to spend the season developing under Bouchard and potentially getting some chemistry with Kotkaniemi and or Poehling if it’s decided that those two need more time in the AHL.

Yes thank you for calling me stupid. Should really help me change my opinion.

Nothing like signing a 20 YO college player that is captain and playing top line and all special teams only to play him on the 3rd time with very limited special team minutes. 12 points in 34 games, -3. That's how we should develop players. Great idea.

If we keep doing the same thing over and over, eventually is has to start working right?

Poehling hasnt played on the 3rd line in Laval, he has played top 6 there and bottom 6 in MTL. They literally just moved Varone and that other vet out because he was out playing them and they wanted more minutes over him.

Kulak actually has rounded out to be a good NHL dman with Petry, his time in Laval did help him when he struggled this year.

And he brings up Fleury because he has improved, he made the team out of camp and tired out as most developing rookies do, and now Laval has a playoff chance so they're keeping him down there.

Caufield absolutely needs to get out of Wisconsin and Laval would be the best place for him.

Do you even read articles or research whatsoever before providing your opinion?

1. Poehling has played 3rd line in Laval. The reason we traded Varone and Barber was because of their attitudes, it had nothing to do with their play. You would know this if you even read one article in the last 2 weeks about Laval.

2. Kulak's stats are worse than last year. He's a #6 defender all day long. The only reason he is playing with Petry is because we simply don't have any quality LHD to play with Petry. If you think he's a "quality" defensemen, then it's going to be a tough reality when we trade him for a 5th or 6th round pick when Romanov comes over.

3. You're right that Fleury has improved, but Fleury nearly made the team out of camp last year so it's not like Bouchard turned him from a nobody to an NHL defensemen. It's good to see our prospects improving.

4. If we sign Caufield this year, what do the lines look like? You also have to remember Caufield is 5'7" 160LBS and the AHL is an even more physical league than the NHL.

They had attitude problems because Poehling and the kids were playing over them. I probably read the same articles you do.

Kulak is an NHL defenceman, is he a solid top 4 guy no, but he has been serviceable defenseman. They only trade him if Bergy gets another LHD on top of Romanov coming over, he loves depth on D.

Where else do you want Caufield to go? Wisconsin is a **** show and going to be worst next year, he would be to good to go to the crappy Soo Greyhounds, and he cant transfer to a better school for next year. There's either the NHL or the AHL to go to and I for one would rather him in the AHL, especially if they can put together some wins to make a playoff push

Poehling NEVER played on the 3rd line, Vejdemo center the 3rd line. Poehling is playing 2C or 2LW all the time. Watch somes games instead of reading article by Danslescoulisses
