Personally think he’s disposable within the next couple years I don’t hate trouba at all I’d just rather move his 8 mill a year contact and I think brodin is a good guy to have on the left side top pair while we wait on miller and jones to develop

Dude Trouba will be in his early to mid 30s, he won't be around 40

Trouba is worth more than Brodin, let alone adding a 3rd.
Trouba is 26 and wil be making 8 mill until he's 32...those are prime years. Also, that contract could look really good in 3-4 years (bit of an overpayment right now IMO)
Brodin is the same age, but will be a free agent after next year and overall isn't as good as Trouba. If the Rangers were having buyers remorse I guess they might look to deal him, but he fetched Pionk and a 1st for the jets

I see your point I do think trouba is a great player but the rangers have 2 younger defenseman on the right already with another on the way it’s gonna get crowded real soon I think trouba might be the odd man out sadly with hit big cap hit and the rangers are gonna need cap down the road to sign the younger players off the ELC’s
