Lines post deadline

Équipe: 2019-20 Bruins de Boston
Date de création initiale: 24 févr. 2020
Publié: 24 févr. 2020
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
I assume Ritchie will start on the 3rd line but he can be swapped with Kuhlman if necessary. Until then, rotate the 4th liners (Kuraly, Wagner, Kuhlman, Nordstrom, Lindholm) to try to find the best combo for the playoffs.

Also, rotate Clifton/Lauzon on the 3rd pairing to give them both playing time.

I could be wrong but I've never seen Kuhlman play center for the B's. I'd say Wagner is the better option over Kuhlman but I can't recall if I've seen him play C either. Kuraly does always seem to play better on the wing though.

I think they should re-arrange the pp lines. Have ritchie swap with debrusk net front on pp1. Then pp2 looks like

debrusk (net front) - coyle (bumper) - krech (right top of circle)

kase (left top of circle) - griz (qb)

He’s played C at Prov and B’s talked about/wanted to put him there last year.

Eh our PP is 2nd in the league, I don't think we should change the 1st unit around unless their production falls off a cliff.

PP2 is an interesting question though. I'd be inclined to keep Krejci on his off-wing as he has a blistering one-timer when he chooses to use it.

pp1 is solid dont get me wrong, but cassidy has been constantly swapping debrusk off it bc it wasnt working for him. I wonder if ritchie being a big/heavier guy will be a better net front.

Kase has a very good shot so I feel like it would be better to have him on his off and have krech on the other side setting guys up with his incredible vision. But hey whatever happens, happens

Those guys are right.
He hasnt player C in boston yet.
Also they sent Kuhlman down, I didnt think they would, but evidently they did. And to me it doesnt seem like it was to make roster space and avoid waivers, because now to call him up they need to place someone on waivers anyway.

I did not say he’s played C in Boston, i said he has played there in Prov. He also played some C in college. Last year when he was brought up they talked about being able to use him at C as well and were hoping to give him some time there.

He’s the only FW on the roster that is waiver exempt. It was inevitable he would get sent down. Nobody else would clear waivers. The other option was sending Lauzon down and that was not happening.

I never said that you said that. I was just clarifying why he probably wouldnt play center on this deep roster...
In saying that, I love him, but he wasnt gonna be able to remain on this roster necessarily

Nordstrom had never played center in his career, did not stop them from putting him there at times. At least KK has had experience there.

I’d prefer KK in the lineup over Nordy, just a numbers game.

Yup. Nordy is one if those players you don’t appreciate unless you watch him night after night and see the little things he does. I appreciate his effort. He just does not do enough to warrant being in the lineup. He’s a 13th FW. But the chemistry that line has probably not worth messing with.

@bsilk18 so what did you think of their deadline deals?

Wish they had done more I guess, but Hienen needed to go, they solidified the top 6, and they got another bottom 6 winger that isnt a weak kid like Hienen. And they moved Backes' deal for about what I said 50 times they would go it for.

So good job by them, good job by me, and maybe the coulda done more.

Lol, you said they would not retain on Backes or move Anderson.

I told you 2 weeks ago watch for 1st/Anderson/Backes for Kase.

I think they did just fine. Addressed 3 needs. A RW for the middle 6 that can score. Added some much needed size/grit/push back/net front presence in top 9. Dumped Backes and created space to sign Krug. Heinen really had to go.

I understand that some are upset that they did not get a big name. But it always looked like Kreider was going to re-sign and Palmeiri was never really on the table.

I would have liked to see them gotten Barclay Goodrow but never would have paid what TB did for him. Or a beefy 3rd pair RD would have been nice.

They certainly did not win the deadline. But they are better off short and long term after it. And did not move Studnivka/Urho/Beecher/Lauzon.

Now let’s hope they stay healthy for the playoffs and see what happens.

Yes, im sure you said that. And you are right, i did say both of those things, im not gonna deny that. But i suppose they did make sense.
But I also said they wouldnt get Palmeri, I said Kreider wouldnt move, I said Stud and Urho were untouchable (keeping Lauzon and Beecher were wins too), I said they would move Backes (which too many people tried telling me they wouldnt do), I said they would get rid of Hienen which they did.

So yes i got 2 out of my like 15 predictions wrong. and I will admit that. But hey it was a good TDL, nothing major though (which isnt a bad thing)

Hey im not complaining about them not making that many moves

You are not complaining about their lack of moves, plenty are.

In the end most of the teams that gave up long term assets for a boost will fall short and regret it. I think they did just fine.

Everybody scrambles to say who won. Most are onboard with Carolina or Caps. To me it’s NJ. They added 2 1sts, 2nd, 3rd, that could become 2nd or 1st, 5th, and 5 prospects. Nice haul.

i think we r on the same page dude dont worry.
Nah yeah i keep seeing people say NJ lost, but honestly they gave up mostly players they wont need or be able to resign, and they got a bunch of picks and prospects. They are definitely winners rn

Well Kuhlman called back up, I hope he slots in somewhere.
U think they would only give him fourth line minutes? (at Center)

Kase was not going to play tonight. So he’ll probably slot in middle 6, after that....who knows. Be better for him to get more minutes in AHL. And roster space is tight. Being the only waiver exempt FW on the team, He’s most likely sent down.

Fair, damn i wanna see Kase lol... But yeah after is the problem.
I still say the Bjork, Coyle, Kuhlman line would be dope and then Ritchie, Kuraly, Wags would be an insane 4th line

Or they call up Brett Ritchie (place nordy on waivers) for the memes and make a Nick - Kuraly - Brett line
