I freaking hate this team! Stan Bowman is a freaking moron idiot piece of crap turd nugget! He sucks! I freaking hate this team's management. He traded Robin Lehner, a Vezina Trophy Caliber goalie for a 2nd round pick. Subban is trash and Demin or however you spell his freaking name will never be anything. I would have rather had a bag of pucks than this pile of garbage. The Gustafsson trade was whatever, I can't believe it only took a 3rd to get him for Calgary. I feel like every single trade deadline I feel like shooting myself in the face because of what Stan Bowman does. It's been 4 years since we had something to be excited for at the TDL. Everyone sucks except a few of our players. I appreciate Seabrook's accomplishments but I hope he retires so we get some cap space for next year. Rocky Wirtz should fire John McDonaugh and Stan Bowman and Jeremy Colliton and hire Ray Shero as GM and Gerard Gallant as coach. In the offseason, we will select Marco Rossi 6th overall. We will trade Zack Smith and David Kampf. The trades below are what NEEDS TO HAPPEN this offseason. If shaw comes back, the two forwards in the SJS trades aren't necessary.

Have you ever looked at what goalies get traded for?
It isn't a ton. Goalie markets are incredibly stingy, even for goalies with Term.

The second-round pick in the Andersen trade was essentially the same as the second-round pick in the Lehner trade; I don't think a late first-round pick and Malcolm Subban are in the same universe of value.

Andersen didn't cost a ton and he came as a 25 y/o with a 5 year deal with multiple suitors. Lehner was traded as a rental.

Well, to be honest, I've given our exchange some thought over the past week+, and I've come to the conclusion that I was wrong and you are absolutely right. This was a sensible price for a guy who is only going to play less than half of the Golden Knights' remaining games. Thank you for widening my horizon.

Thanks. I agree with you less often than with most Maple Leafs fans, so I owe it to you to admit when you're right and I'm wrong. And this helps me understand the trade deadline mania better. I appreciate the education.
