These lines are my best guess, not from any information I've seen from the team.

I know AA and Green are en-route in order to play vs Anaheim, but is Ennis going to be there on time? I'd wager that he probably plays Wednesday against Vegas and Benson probably sits due to the whole "he's a rookie" thing.

I'd personally be more inclined to run AA-McDavid-Chiasson as the second line behind the Honey Badger line (seriously, what are we calling these guys??), keep Sheahan and Archie together, and limit the minutes of a Khaira-Haas-Russell line (assuming no Ennis) until it's become a blowout. Neither Khaira nor Patty Russell have done anything noteworthy at evens this season, and I doubt tomorrow night is what changes that.

Good post, and good question. Some call it the DRY line, someone posited DYNamite, but whatever they're called, they're simply MAGIC on the ice. They're 22-8 (73.33 GF%) in a quarter of a season together (20 games). For five of those games they were the ONLY line that the opposition needed to focus on, yet they still outscored the comp 6-4 in the time McDavid was out. And that vs Boston, Tampa, etc.

Ennis might be in, it will be a week without him playing. Pretty long time

This is partly why so many Oilers fans are immediately chalking the AA trade up to be such a win. Behind Draisaitl and Nuge, AA's literally the best winger McDavid's been set up to play with. Edmonton might actually have two really strong lines going into the postseason that will absolutely demand nothing but the best out of their opposition. The suffocating third line Tippett engineered gives a sheltered 4th line so much leeway to produce in a seven-game series.

I like the DYNamite line. They've been exactly that. Edmonton had no business even hanging around in either of the Boston or Tampa games. It was super encouraging to see the guys bend without breaking and they've been rewarded for it today.

I'm arguably more excited today than when I was after they beat the Kings in 2017 to clinch a playoff berth for the first time in 12 years. There was absolutely nothing at the onset of this season that suggested they'd be where they are right now, and they loaded up for a run. Outside of maybe Vegas and St. Louis, there isn't a team in the West that I'm remotely concerned about with this roster. They've really got a shot at it this year, and I really don't know how to comprehend that right now.

Haha, I posted along these same lines on the other thread before I read this post. I predicted the Oilers to miss the playoffs this year (86 points), but this team is coming together as a legit contender right now. The jury is still out on AA / Ennis, but if Tippett can get the McDavid line to above 60 GF%, this team could go deep.

I had them anywhere between 26th at like 78pts (assuming some sort of injury) to 18th at like 84 points. I spent most of September researching guys like Holtz, Askarov, and Holloway. Now, I'm about to go check odds on the Oilers making the WCF or winning the cup and throwing down a chunk of my paycheque on them. Two days ago I told my dad this team could do it if they made a move up front, and he was convinced that they wouldn't make the playoffs unless they made trades.

How much of a relief this must be for Connor and Leon, but even more so for RNH. Making it in 2017 was fun, but there wasn't nearly the pressure. Now, there's talk of a deep run. That locker room is going to be a great place to be for the rest of the season. Day and night with this franchise man.

Also: not a student anymore and I can actually afford this playoff run. I'm personally phenomenally excited for that!
