Description

Bruins are still in trade talks with New Jersey about Kyle Palmieri. Since the Bruins no longer have their 1st round 2020 pick they will have to offer either a 2020 second round pick and a 2021 second round pick or their 2021 1st pick, an NHL level player off the current roster for cap space and a prospect. Below I looked at the 2 2nd round picks. If they give up another 1st round pick, the package going to New Jersey would most likely be different. All details are subject to change as well.

They add another top 9 FW and there is no place for him in top 9. Might as well include him in the deal and reduce cap hit.

Bjork / Studnicka / 2nd would probably the ballpark ask from NJD. I don’t think Senyshyn plus the other 2nd would move the needle much. But maybe Heinen / Studnicka / 2nd would be compromise. And Bruins likely to pass on both of those.

Also, Boston isn’t talking with Devils (were never really that far along with them before Kase). Probably just media guessing because Palmieri goes there in off-season.

Everything I have seen has said they are not. Calgary and Colorado are talking to NJD about Palmieri.

Boston and New Jersey are still very much talking about Palmieri. A trusted and well vetted source over at HFB made a comment today about it.
