Description
I know there’s rumors floating around about a Jumbo return. There’s also rumors about heinen being moved. Would a package like this intrigue SJS? Is the value there? Too low or too high?

No, BOS lose this. Unless it's for a 5th+, Bruins don't NEED Thornton so it would be Heinen, Steen and a 2nd for Labanc, bit too much. Don't know if SJ want to move Labanc

When you say a bit too much I feel like that falls in line with a lot of deals made for forwards already. Every trade seems to be a little bit of an overpay for the buyer. But overall just my own speculation with a couple rumors out there. Ik a lot of Bs fans think Thornton wouldn’t come back but idk, if he thinks it’s his best chance at a cup I certainly see him waiving for a shot at a ring.

Pretty sure that if Labanc moves it's only for this year's first round pick...

If Brian freaking Boyle and Tomas Plekanec fetches 2nd round picks, which they did last year and year before that, also Thornton will do that too.

That makes this Heinen+Steen for Labanc, which SJ is going to decline...

Not only about Thornton wanting to come back to BOS, but if it's the same thing for the B's. Love Thornton and respect him, but once again, Bruins don't need him. He's still a good playmaker but I don't see a fit in the lineup. Coyle is the perfect 3C. Thornton can't play on the 4th (I would rather have a checking line). So if it's for a 5h/6th/7th or future considerations, pass.

Any move that puts Thornton into the lineup is a bad one.
