Brodin for Trochek actually makes alot of sense tbh

I would do the Staal trade in 1/2 a heartbeat!

I might be undervaluing Domi and Trochek here, but I don’t see the two of them really changing the Wild’s looooong history of mediocrity. I would much rather acquire one of them and then also go after a prospect or pick to target a player who actually has a chance at being a #1. These two are both middle 6 centers in my mind and I don’t see them as enough return for both Dumba and Brodin.

I think Trocheck can be a #1, his points/60 are way up this year relative to last year but he's playing 3-4 minutes less per night. From the three games I've watched, Q uses Barkov for nearly everything and Trocheck kind of gets shafted on his shifts and PP time. I think if we go after only 1, I'd prefer Trocheck based off what I've seen. I do like the idea of going after one and then targeting a higher end prospect, though.

Of the 2, I would definitely prefer Trochek! I disagree about him ever being a legit #1, but he would instantly be the best center in Wild history.

Well he's not a McDavid or MacKinnon obviously, but I think he'd be a fine 1st line center. Give him Fiala and Kaprizov as wingers and I think he could do a ton of damage with those two (return to his 70+ point total from two years ago).
