I get this makes no sence at all to do for the wild but what is the cost to bring him in?. I think he would help greenway figure out how to play like a big guy.

It's the drive that Greenway lacks. That's something that can't really be taught.

I know Wild won't do it. Simmonds is on the decline hard, but even if he wasn't Greenway just doesn't have the aggression to be who we want him to be. What would help him is if someone punched him in the face to start every game.

Some guys (Parise/Kunin) have it and some guys don't (Coyle/Nino).

I think Greenway has been playing well lately. Not a lot of points to show for it, but he's playing a lot of tough minutes. His 200' game is rounding out nicely; which is an improvement from last year. I'm happy with his development so far. This might just be the year his focus is more on the d-zone than the o-zone; which is a common thing for 2nd year players. It's why some get tabbed with having a sophomore slump, but their overall game is actually better than rookie year.

He does have a Koivu type of beast mode at least. Really he's a guy that's built for the Playoffs, if he can turn it on for them he'll be a guy who wins the team a series.

Not really. Yes it'll cost the 2nd to dump Rask, but Simmonds doesn't do anything that Foligno can't/hasn't. Simmonds just isn't the player he was a couple of years ago. He'll just be a bottom line/pressbox guy in MN. Simmonds as a beast on the PP, but that was a completely different setup than MN uses.
