This one looks more serious than your first effort along these lines, so I'll bite.
I disagree with you that we need to go full rebuild, so I wouldn't trade Henrique because I think he's a necessary bridge between Getzlaf and Zegras/Steel/Groulx. I think the Islanders are the perfect analogue for the Ducks. The roster didn't change when they brought in Trotz and suddenly NY went from one of the worst defensive teams in the League to a playoff (if not Cup) contender. I don't think anyone can honestly deny that Anaheim is more than a Ryan Pulock away from making that transition, with the wealth of young forwards starting to come into the big team. The problem is, I don't have any idea where we're going to find a Ryan Pulock equivalent. Drafting a couple of RhD's with Boston's first and our second this June would be a start, but even a star like Cale Makar took 5 years to come into the league. Maybe we can steal Mackenzie Weegar off the Panthers while Dale Tallon isn't looking. Or successfully offer-sheet Eric Czarnik.
