Although Toronto has always been a contender, even during this years bad parts. The Leafs are so good that even their 'bad' is better than you think it is.

They basically tanked under Babs for the first quarter of the season and they are more likely than not to make the playoffs in the east (which is much harder than the west).
They have been one of the best teams in the league since the coaching change both record wise and analytically.
