Avs aren't trading Newhook

It's definitely closer in value than most proposals I've seen, given the extension. But Joe's said he's not trading Newhook and there's speculation that Kreider wouldn't sign an extension in Colorado.

Fast? Dont really know much about him. What type of player he is?

I think its pretty close in value, especially given the state of affairs with COL. IMO i wouldn't do any less than a 1st and an above average prospect for Kreider as a rental (according to the trades market so far), figured with your goalie out and Georgiev being a young and NHL ready starter it would be enough to pry Newhook away.



Fast is a defensive forward who can chip in offensively here and there. He is a good PKer and has proven that he can play up and down the lineup but would probably be best suited on a checking 3rd line.

The value's there, but I don't see Joe pulling the trigger. Newhook's been lighting it up this year; he's putting up similar numbers to Cole Caulfield. He went on the Avs broadcast the other night and said there's very little chance they trade Byram, Newhook, or Timmins.
