Getting Creative- Trade with Jets

Créé par: Propeller09
Équipe: 2019-20 Bruins de Boston
Date de création initiale: 20 févr. 2020
Publié: 20 févr. 2020
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
It would essentially be

3rd pick/2nd rd pick for Backes contract

Heinen, 1st and Vaakainan for Ehlers.

Senysyhn is an add in with Potential. Kid has skill, but needs a change of scenery. I don't know I guess he could be switched out for (Zboril, Andersson, Frederic, JFK). Basically anyone not named Lauko, Beecher or Studnicka.
Transactions
WPG
  1. Backes, David
  2. Heinen, Danton
  3. Senyshyn, Zach
  4. Vaakanainen, Urho
  5. Choix de 1e ronde en 2020 (BOS)
  6. Choix de 3e ronde en 2021 (BOS)
Détails additionnels:
Backes waives for rest of this season/playoff run and then gets bought out at 4m and 2m cap hit. This will free money up for when Laine and Pionk are RFA's again. I don't see how they pay Ehlers, Laine & Connor.

It helps them this year because I'd take Backes over Bourque or Shaw, at least for a short term playoff run. I know they have a few guys on the IR, but they don't currently have anyone in their lineup over 30 other than Wheeler. A leader would help this team.

*2021 Becomes 2nd rd pick if Bruins make it to SCF

Cause he isn't good and his contract sucks. The Bruins have been trying to trade him half retained with assets and nobody wants him.

Because he's a Leafs fan who thinks Marleau's trade is the compromise every team dumping cap has to follow

This is an easy no from the Jets. It's quantity for quality. The upgrade from Backes to Bourque/Shaw doesn't really matter because 1) Neither of those guys will be in the lineup when we get healthy and 2) the downgrade from Ehlers to whomever we put there would greatly exceed any gains Backes may give us.

You'll need to give up a 1st to get someone to take Backes and buy him out for you so the trade is really Ehlers for Heinen (Depth forward), Senyshen (not Kyle Connor, bwhahahah) and is pretty much looking like a bust, another high potential prospect LD (which we don't need, if he was a RD than maybe) and a 3rd round pick.

I would contemplate Backes + your 1st for future considerations.

It would be one thing if the Jets were giving up on the season...as in selling Ehlers...but they are not so he won't be moved...unless its for McAvoy

I just don't think he'll get moved because of that extra year. Maybe next deadline to a seller with cap space. Anyways, he'll be easier to move in February 2021 when he only has 2 months left of pay on his contract.

so you dont want a first round pick. a 3rd round pick. a 3rd line winger. and a top 4 projecting left shot dman (he would be top pair with bruins). for a top 6 forward? take backes out of it. like you realize youre defense is crap at best right?

they can buy him out in the offseason save an extra mill on their cap next year by moving it to 2022. and it costs them ZERO in assets. no chance they send anything of real value back to move him.

All it takes is 2 MB born players in UFA to solidify the top 4....Without losing Ehlers

lol. That would be like the Bruins being like we'll move Krejci but only for Schiefele. I am not sure you understand how good McAvoy is. It's fine if you think my deal is bad, but in no world is ehlers worth McAvoy.
He is a nice player than benefits from being the 5th option on an offensively loaded team. Connor, Laine, Schiefele, Wheeler then Ehlers.

You are right though. If he is dealt it would be for immediate help on D not future. Although if we are being honest, do the jets really have a chance this year? Trouba is better than Pionk and Buff is better than nobody. Plus you are incredibly banged up. I don't know. I don't see it this year for Jets,

The Bruins say no. not worth it. We'll buy him out at 4m cap hit. we are in fine cap shape.

Its not me wanting Ehlers on my team...its you.

So if BOS wants him that bad...they are gonna pay....

Your trade only happens with a team that isnt competing...and want prospects so they can compete in a few years. Losing Ehlers just sets back the Jets

Pulock is probably the best and I don't see Isles letting him go, and I don't think Hamonic or edmundson puts you over when he couldn't for Calgary who was stacked on D

Hamonic is a top 4 D who will play shut down with Morrissey, Edmundson can play a defensive role so Pionk can score.

As for the other RD UFAs, if we can get one of them for a decent cap hit, then sure
