Don't think COL does this... Byram is pretty much untouchable

Bergevin and Mellanby has been scouting the Avs the past two games. Byram isn't with the big club right now. Kaut was called up due to injuries after the first game. I don't think they are there to scout Francouz…

They are there to scout a roster player that was there before Kaut showed up.

Thats what i thought, but i figured MTL would want a high end A grade prospect. I am not familiar enough with COLs system to know if Kaut fits into that catagory

Id have to say its Zadarov then? Maybe swap Byram with Zadarov?

Sounds like Bergevin likes that style of defenseman. Also might help Romanov feel more comfortable next year.

That's not to say I think Price is Colorado's target. Just trying to think of who Montreal is scouting. If Bergevin is visiting his daughter (as some suggest), I find it weird he brings Mellanby along too, haha.

Bergevin was visiting his daughter who goes to college in Colorado.

And Sakic is on record saying he will not be trading Byram

Either Mellanby & Bergevins daughter or dating, or they were lying who would have thought xd

It wasn't MB who claimed to be in town to visit his daughter.

As per Ryan S. Clark's tweet, of the Athletic,
"GM Joe Sakic addressed the media before the game. He was asked about Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin being her for two games in a row.
He said, "Marc's daughter goes to CU" and just left at that with a grin."

There is no way in hell Avs consider this. Take out Byram and Kaut and you are about right value wise.

We no want Price
We no mov Byram

Price is now a below average goalie with a huge contract that pays him like he's one of the best players in the entire league. AVS current goalies are better (with stats to back that up), far cheaper, and younger. At this point Price's contract is very bad and you probably have to give up something significant just to move him. No way any team is giving Habs a first and two of their best prospects for him. Maybe if habs throw in Caufield, Domi, and a first with at least 2.5 mil retention
