Pretty easy, Girard isnt close to that value. Colorado fans complain about the Habs targeting Newhook, well Caufield has out performed him on every level, so do the math

honesty we get so much then we lose a first for a goalie we dont even need ,then we trade him for a terrible player just stick with the MTL trade

Why would Montreal trade Caufield (who should of gone top 10 last year) and another top 10 pick this year..... For Girard when MTL has Petry / Weber / Fluery / Mete / Romanov / and most likely someone else thats in the system

we wont even have enough cap space to sign makkar or byram in the future there both looking at 6-9 million, and we still need to resging some players in the offseason not a smart trade, the MTL trade is good if its ok with MTL fans

You seriously think Montreal would trade this year's tenth overall pick and last year's 15th overall pick for Samuel Girard?!?

The second day of the draft would have to be postponed and moved elsewhere because outraged Habs fans would burn the place down the minute this trade was announced.

I think that trade has about as much a chance as the Price/Tatar for Byram, Newhook, Timmins, ect trades. But it is fun to wind MTL fans up.
