You could get more for Kreider, especially if you are willing to take on a bad contract which I assume you knew you were doing here with Bjgustad.

The PIT deal is interesting. A little rich for Pens though.

And I doubt we will see Karvstov on top-line by next year....gotta assume Panarin/Zib/Buch stick together, no?

Panarin - Strome (almost all season)
Kreider - Zibanejad - Buchnevich (majority of the season)

Gosh, if I were Rangers fan, I wouldn't hate to see Kreider resigned. Hate to mess with something that is working so well.

As an avid ranger fan, I think they should force kreider to resign. He isn't a US citizen therefore he does not have freedom.

I like this. As a Pens fan I think the 5th should be contingent on if Kreider signs in Pitt, but Id make it a 3rd.

I know Bjugstad is an average middle six guy who's been injury prone, but that's far from a bad contract. He's got one more year at $4.1M and he'd be fine plug for the Rangers for one year. Look, I'm not saying "Oh my god, you guys should be ecstatic to get BJugstad," but he can be useful player if he stays healthy.

I do agree you can get more though. The Rangers would need a 1st just to pick up the phone when you consider what other teams have received for players far below Kreider's level. That said, pieces of this deal are good. Hallander was touted to be a very good prospect and not far from being in the NHL until his injury which obviously took him off the map, but he's healthy now and it doesn't seem like his injury has affected him at all.

I think a 1st + Hallander + Simon would make more sense for the Rangers, but they'd have to retain a little bit to make things work. Even though he's not a big producer, I love Simon and he's a great value player who can play in the top six.
