The Barrie option is just sell him, this team has shown 0 reasons in the last 20 games for management to spend assets for a playoff run, I'm not saying clean house but sell Barrie while D are getting assets. Sell Barrie, send Spezza wherever he wants if he wants for whatever pick, maybe even sell Kap if he can get you in the 1st round. Do not reward this group by adding anything

BUT
1) Unfortunately, they take on two UFAs (one is injured and one is playing year-long as if he is).
2) Long wait for the 1st (GM-shelf life might not get to see the fruits of that pick)
3) Bracco is in every TO trade so his value must be zilch?

ANA are not going to the playoffs, so unless at least Barrie comes with a signing guarantee (like Stone last year did) or the UFAs agree to be flipped/sign-n-trades, I can't see the reason ANA (or any team) pulls the trigger here?

I'll give you Ceci (injured so ya worthless) Bracco ya worthless, as for the rest none of that worthless, but this trade does nothing for the Leafs , does not turn them into a contender probably doesn't even get them to the 1st round let alone past it

Bracco has some value he’s played well three straight years now in the AHL and has shown he’s pretty much NHL ready, Barrie has 5 goals and 33 points in 60 games with 68 blocked shots and 38 hits so he hasn’t been awful he’s been about average so he has value ceci is cap dump that’s y they send a first, kapanen has been better than kase so kapanen, Bracco and Barrie together could get Manson so really it’s that plus ceci and a first for kase

I like Kapanen, but Bracco is a fringe NHLer, Barrie is a PP specialist, and Ceci is...is Cody Ceci...
