I honestly believe this 3 game losing streak is on trotz. He refuses to mix up the top 6 and he is not icing the best lineup.

Lee is obviously a terrible fit on barzal line - I feel like he's holding the line back and that line has been forced for a long time now,

Beau-barzal-eberle have had chemistry in the past. Beau has a great shot and can keep up with barzal. I don't understand why trotz hasn't put that line back together when the team struggles to score goals. Its almost as if trotz is afraid to have too much speed and skill on one line.

Lee is most effective when Bailey is on his opposite wing and lee and nelson have had chemistry in the past.

For the 1st time this season, the islanders looked like they had a legitimate 3rd line when bellows-brassard-dal colle were put togethert against the stars - but trotz does not give bellows any room for error. He turns the puck over one time and he's benched - meanwhile komarov, Martin, Johnston continue to get ice time after making mistakes.

Coaches are like this. They can't bring themselves to like a player and they fall in love with garbage players...

yeah it makes no sense. Trotz likes to scapegoat young players but will praise a vet after he had a terrible game. Obviously he's a great coach, but he makes some really questionable decisions

yes its a joke that lee is playing with barzal when he can't keep up. It's a joke that komarov lost his man yesterday leading to the first goal and was out for his next shift. Its a joke that down a goal bellows was benched when this team struggles to score goals.

Lee is far and away the team's leader in high danger chances. He's the right guy on the wing - the pucks will go in.

Since becoming a regular again post Clutterbuck injury, Komarov has had some of the best possession numbers on the team. He's a legitimately good bottom sixer.

Bellows in two years of Bridgeport had a fun 10 game run where he scored 13 of his 16 goals this season. 16 goals in 45 games, 13 of which came in 10 games. He's never shown he can do it with consistency, and yes, while his 2 goal game against the Kings was fun, they were wide open nets.

You can do better than criticize the coach that won a Jack Adams.

lee cannot keep up with barzal, Watch the game and its evident. It does not matter if he leads the team in high danger chances : 1. the team doesn't have much skill to begin with so its not that much of an accomplishment 2. he can't finish, and this has been the case the entire season. Him and barzal don't mesh, he kills the transition game because again, he can't keep up with barzal.

Komarov has been good as of late as a 4th line rw , because that's where he should be. You need the 3rd line to produce, and as a 3 line rw he just wasn't cutting it. My point is vets are given a much longer leash, bellows commits one turnover and he's benched. They deserved to lose the game yesterday because of trotz deployment of his forwards.

Did you know that after bellows almost made the team at the beginning of the 18-19 season, the BPT coaching staff told him not to worry about points, they just wanted him to focus on his play away from the puck. Bellows had a slow start to this season, but he went on to put up 19 points in 25 games. Thats a pretty good sample size. He's in his D+3 season and he finally " got it" . Thats what happens with a lot of prospects - they start to light it up, they earn a call up and begin their NHL careers. Maybe we should let bellows marinate until he's 25.

Lee doesn't just lead the team in high danger chances, we blows every single other player out of the water. He has a career low shooting percentage too, outside of his injury shortened 2015.

I don't think I believe that about Bellows story either because he had 19 points in 73 AHL games last year, and has never been a consistent player. He's just not that good, and thats why the only people who legitimately think he is anything more than a third line guy are dumb isles fans lmao

Lee can lead the team in high danger chances and still not mesh with barzal, which is a fact. Lee holds the line back because his skating is below average + he has a weak shot - barzal needs to play with wingers that can skate and get open. Lee just stands around.

You don’t believe the story because you don’t want believe it, but it’s true. You’re right , bellows will likely middle 6 guy who can contribute 15-20 goals a season and help out on the powerplay. He won’t be a top line forward like he was projected to be.

The crap that the isles are playing in their bottom 6 is embarrassing. Martin, kuhnhackl , johnston are all fringe NHLers. Kuhnhackl is a bottom 5 forward in the entire league. Bellows has been solid defensively and if he can be half the player he is right now, that’s still an upgrade on most of the players in the bottom 6.

Dude you have a thing against young players, it pretty bizarre, but you’ll blow all the old washed up players that are liabilities

Do not create an AGM for such a discussion. In future, post in the NYI/appropriate team's forum.

lol the fact that this was the first thing you thought about after the game is pretty weird - chill with the confirmation bias. They played against the sharks who are without Karlsson and dillon. Lee played well but to maximize barzal skillset, a player with speed and finish is needed.
