fan bases thinking avs are going to go full panic mode and do dumb trades is the laziest clueless roster creation on the site.
Avs had a winning record when they had Rants, Landy, Grubeaur, Francouz, Calvert, Jost, Zadorov all out for extend periods of time earllier int eh season, and didnt make a panic trade

why do you think they would now, especially when its only Rantanen that is out long long term and the team has incredible depth

Not to disagree with your reasoning, but this is hardly a panic move… good winger with an extra year... Number 1 goalie which you guys could resign… tbh I don’t really like the trade for Chicago having to give up Saad and whatnot.

Grubauer ist dead, he is out for a bit not for the season. ITs not a hard concept. Avs have some injuries right now but no one is done for the season.

This trade is fair for sure. Some Avs fans overrate their prospects; Newhook is a good prospect (A- or A) but he's hardly the next big name (A+) in the NHL. He didn't fall to #16 because 15 GM's are morons.
