I wouldn't want to do this if i was the rangers. Maybe if instead of buying out Ryan they could LTIR him it would be worth it. They already have so much dead cap space due to buy outs with a lot of RFAs who will need raises next year and beyond. This 10 to 5 for a second along with the dead capspace doesn't seem worth it to me.

I mean from a rangers fan I view this as the last year of the official rebuild then next year and onwards its the build up. Im just throwing ideas around right now but the way it looks is that we are basically locked up on d and in goal. We mainly just need a couple wingers and maby a 2c depending on how chytil performs next year.

While Eugene doesnt want to spend, he has to get to the cap floor. It would be silly to not want to pay Bobby when they would have to then pay someone else to fill the cap space.

So what? Chabot is taken into account. They're still only at 42 million. Cap floor is 20 million away. Take away Bobby they're 27 million away. No way they are getting there like that
