I think if Boston is looking at Kase, then Heinen for Kase would be fair. Seems high for a rental in Toffoli I think. Bjork, that could make sense.

I think that brings you into trouble with the cap ceiling. Right now you shouldn't have any trouble re-signing Krug, Grzelcyk, DeBrusk, Bjorg and Kuhlman if Toffoli is one-and-done, but having Palmieri's $4.65 on the books complicates matters, and I don't think that package gets Palmieri anyway.

There's going to be a lot of suitors for Toffoli, and Boston's 2nd round pick is going to be less valuable than others since it will likely be at the very end of the round. I think Boston will have to do better on the prospect front if they want to beat out offers from other teams. While Bjork and Heinen are about right in terms of value, I think they're both too old to be useful to LA,'s rebuild and they would either need to be left unprotected or bump one of Iafallo, Lizotte, or Roy out of a protection slot.

If TT commands more, then no dice.
Better to throw J. Studnicka to the playoff wolves if you ask me than overpay for a meh-rental in TT.

Zboril should probably be traded at this point. Dont think he has that much value to the Bruins given Vaak and Lauzon moved ahead of Zboril plus Gryz. If the Bruins resign Krug then there's a good chance Vaak could even be dealt. But who knows. I think Toffoli would be a great addition to them much like Johansson last year.

I don't disagree. I think Boston is an unlikely destination for Toffoli. Boston doesn't have the necessary pieces to make the deal work.

Yea, I'd be interested to see what a deal would look like. If the Kings were to retain 50% and take back Backes, that would give Boston an extra $3.8Mish in cap space next season to re-sign Krug, while adding a pretty decent top six forward. Carter is actually playing well right now and currently leads the Kings in goals. It would certainly cost more than a 2nd and Zboril.
