The first trade is straight ridiculous, no way are the Oilers trading Broberg their top d prospect the 8th overall in the last draft for that package.

The Vegas trade I don’t see them trading Dorofeyev who was a steal in the 3rd round but I could be wrong.

The Smith trade, I could see happening.

I would think Bouchard would be their best D prospect, so I didnt trade for him. What would be your counter for the edm trade?
Gus is worth at least a second and taking money back in holden to free up more space for VGK helps them out a bit, Id take a later pick but we could use young wingers.
Agreed, Avs PK is meh Smith can help them out.

Does DeBrincat have more value than Strome in your estimation?

Honestly the last thing Edmonton needs is another center considering they can roll McDavid, Draisitl and RNH down the middle. They are thin on the wings and on D, and don’t have a ton of space for someone like Strome. I’d say Broberg is their top D prospect because 1, he was drafted by Holland and higher than Bouchard.

And being an Avs fan their PK isn’t meh it’s atrocious. I wish they could trade for a new PK coach, they refuse to play to their skating strength and play a high pressure kill system instead opting for some bs hybrid system that leaves diagonal lanes open all over the ice.

It gets it closer, but Edmonton isn’t trading Broberg. They are thin on d, he was the 8th overall and Holland’s 1st pick. They don’t have a ton of cap, so any trade like that they need to move cap space out as part of it.
