Description

While I wholeheartedly disagree with the idea that Strome should be traded, the speculation exists and I do understand where it’s coming from. On the flip side, he could net us a nice asset or two if we did move him, so it’s not necessarily the worst thing in the world.

My first question for everyone is what does his value on the trade market look like and my second question, more specifically for Blackhawks fans, is what would we want in return? My preference is a young scoring winger who can perhaps play with Kane, especially if Saad is traded. Let me know your thoughts.

Not saying the Islanders would trade Beau in the middle of an excellent season, but he is the type of player I’d want the Blackhawks to be going after. Fiala and McCann are two other players I’d like from teams with fans who’ve expressed interest in Strome on this site

It is fool hearty to entertain the thought Strome should be move on the speculation Dach can solidify the 2 C spot. Yes Dach is great, and he should excitement to Hawk fans, but needs to produce to stay as the 2nd line centre.

I still make the point that three scoring is better option, and the top nine forwards are interchangeable.

Problem is, why would you want to be paying a 3C $5M a year, because even if Strome is still the 2C next year, he won't be for longer then that. Dach will be the 2C locked in. Hawks should absolutely look at moving strome. Offers for Strome are easily going to be a 1st and a good prospect or even a top prospect without the 1st. Hawks have other needs they should be addressing then paying a 3C $5M a year.

I mean I’d love Adam Fox, but that’s neither feasible, nor good for the Hawks in the long run.

I could move a $5 M 3C to a team needing depth at centre. It is premature to move Strome. The only THING the Hawks need is to sign Lehner and a power play.
