I get that, you're also kind of proving my point here. You're using games in hand to say they should make the playoffs. That's a fringe team.

In the Pacific, they'd be leading it, in the Atlantic, they'd me more than safe. In the Central, they'd be 5 points clear of a wild card. That is not a fringe team, no matter how you spin it

That's not how the league works. They only play in one division and won't be playing in those other divisions, they only need to be better than the other 7 teams in the Metro and they're currently the 6th best team. We're in Feb and they can miss the playoffs, that's a fringe team. Only Washington, Pittsburgh, Boston and Tampa are teams I'd say are definite playoff teams in the east.

Even PIT or WSH aren't 100%, Carolina are on pace to reach over 100 points and miss the playoffs, that's not a fringe playoff team, that's an elite team playing in a division that needs to be fixed.

You clearly are not understanding that it's mid-February and you don't know if you're gonna make it or not. That's what a fringe team is. I'm not saying you're not good enough to win the cup if you do get in, you are.
