Description
Again, I may have overpaid on the bruins part, as my goal is to not be a homer... This is based on rumors, other peoples posts (from ducks and kings fans mostly, etc...)
Hienen has been scratched again (and came back, and I didnt even notice he had left or come back lol), and Kuhlman was sent down. I like Hienen, but I think a change is coming, and he may be involved.

Khulman was recalled and only sent down to help with the total TDL cao space Boston will have.

Seems like an overpay tbh

Kase = Heinen
Backes dump = 2nd
Toffoli = 2nd

DESCRIPTION! smile I figured it was an over pay, i just dont wanna give bruins fans a bad name ya know. Like all those leafs fans like "ah lets give Kapanen up for a 1st and crosby at 50% retained) lolol

I do think Backes is worth closer to a first (or else the bruins would have 100% already done the deal with someone)
Toffoli's going price is a 2nd and a mid prospect i believe from reports (So I am 100% overpaying, but also not underpaying)
And I could be wrong but im pretty sure Kase is also a 2nd and a midlever prospect (so a young skilled roster player and mid level prospect is definitely a slight overpay too, but not an underpay! )

Ducks not interested in Zboril with Guhle, Larson, Mahura all there. Replace him and it’s pretty solid effort for both deals.

Suggestion? Thats fair, a lot of young LHD in the league for some reason.

Give them JFK and send Zboril to the kings instead?

I like the Backes for a 1st, but don't really see us being interested in Kuhlman, nor Zboril for that matter. I don't think we're going to agree on a deal for Kase. Non-ANA fans clearly haven't watched him that much and view him a very different light to us Duck fans. If we're moving Kase it's got to be for help at RD. Unfortunately, I don't see BOS having to right assets to make a deal that could work.

Waa confirm your description lol.

In Backes, remember he has a NTC. Its possible they could move him, but the teams interested dont interest Backes. That could change, but time will tell. If Sweeney was willing to do a 1st, I imagine Backes would have been moved by now.

"Waa confirm your description lol" lol idk what that means, but i forgive you for the mistake lol

Thats fair, and the way I see it is that wherever the bruins send him, they will flip him to a team that he wants to play at for another good prospect (and 50% retained)... Regardless, my problem is that to move him he may have to give up a first. If it was less than a first, the bruins would have done it already. So if they want to move him, its gotta be a 1st.

Lol... thanks, but I think I was way off. I suppose I was right in that us ANA fans valued Kase higher than non-ANA fans. Based on my interpretation of the deal, I think the 1st + Axel = 2 x 2nd. Therefore, we got a 2nd for Kase, a 2nd for taking on Backes (retained). I valued Kase a bit higher at around a late 1st, but I think the deal is fair. I think we did better than a lot of deals suggested by BOS fans and worse than a lot of deals suggested by ANA fans. I suppose it makes sense that the final price for Kase + moving Backes was in the middle of what most fan bases wanted.

Fair, I will say, if it was just a 2nd to take on Backes, bruins woulda done it with any team way earlier because they woulda been happy with that, so I think Kase's Injurys didnt help, but yeah maybe like 75% of the first was for Backes and 25% was with Axel for Kase or something

The 2nd for Backes (retained) is just my interpretation of how the Kase deal breaks down. I doubt anyone would take on Backes for a 2nd, even with retention. If that were true, like you say, BOS would have made that deal already. IMO, the 1st had to come along with Backes, but BOS clearly didn't feel that moving him was worth a 1st alone. Moreover, they wanted to use that 1st to bolster their roster. Therefore, using the retention system + adding other expendable assets (Axel) to convert dumping Backes into more of a hockey trade made the most sense. I think it's a smart, if somewhat risky (because of Kase's injury history), move by BOS, but, ultimately, a necessary one if they're serious about going all the way this time around.
