Description
Kovalchuk as extra scoring depth. Panik has been decent lately but Kovalchuk wants to win and maybe his hunger could help spark the team. And if he decides to leave, throw Boyd in the 3RW next season because he's impressed when he's been given the chance to play. That saves money for Ovechkin/Vrana extensions.

I hope Martinez would help. The turnovers need to stop so whatever defenseman can do that, trade for XD.

Weber - 7th D for playoffs.

I think the PP could be fixed with Kovalchuk. Adds another weapon to 2PP and another elite playmaker.

Absolutely true, these two Russians despise each other. Ovi stuck it out with a rebuilding Caps team to win a Cup, Kovy peaced out on the NHL and Ovi called him "selfish" in the Russian media. They had a serious beef a few years ago and I wouldn't put these two together.
