Addison is a lot. But he won't be helpful for another 2-3 years. Getting John Marino really made him expendable.

The first is a late first. Zucker is one of the more underrated players in the league. Galchenyuk is extremely bad. So I'll take it, even though I would have preferred they give up POJ instead of Addison.

This is a fair trade imo. If Zucker was a rental this would be a huge overpay but Zucker has three years after this year. Pittsburgh is in their window and have committed to trying to win as long as Crosby & Malkin are going strong. They just traded for help for 3 1/2 years.

It's a strong draft, but it will be a late first. Pitt's D-core seems pretty good with Dumo/Marino/Pettersson/Letang. Even with Shultz walking and the JJ anchor they should be fine.

Pitt paid a lot for Zucker but I understand why and I also think Zucker will fit in very nicely with the Pens. Zucker wasn’t going to come cheap.

Zucker for the next few seasons is better than Kreider for just one.

It takes roughly a year. Remember Bonino's 1st year back from a break. It was ugly.
So maybe he bounces back next year. I don't know. But this will be kicking everyone.

Seems like a fair deal to me. Gally's value is low and hes a pending UFA. Zucker since 2017 has a G/GP that puts him at 26 goals over 82 games and around 55pts. Signed for multiple years at a decent hit and a should see his number increase playing with Crosby. 1st + top prospect sounds about right.

I’d take Zucker over Kreider even if it was just one season. He takes care of his own zone as well as score goals, more well rounded player than Kreider.

Yeah, he is a better defensive player. But Kreider is bigger/faster and good in front of the net. Both are very good. I'm just happy that the Pens got the one with term.

Ive watched almost every MIN game since he came back from injury and he just hasn't looked the same to me... His quickness just hasn't been there IMO

I think since Addison likely isn't ready yet, Guerin is just getting a guy in the system in hopes of selling high on Dumba next year or as soon as he gets a offer to good to refuse.
Best part of this deal it shows us Guerin is a better negotiator than any of the previous 3 Wild GMs.

Tatar is good but to say he is “twice the player” is major overkill and a very homer statement that most wont take seriously.
