what is with the sudden obsession with Eric Staal, and why do people think Wayne Simmonds is worth anything let alone a 2nd?

a proven winner eh? he has one cup and? How many proven winners are there out there? gotta be hundreds. The leafs need wingers more than then need an over priced 3rd C, that's why they traded Kadri. You dont trade cost controlled players for short term fixes you dont need.

While he’s currently having a better year then Kapanen & I think the Leafs could use somemore experience.
As for Simmonds, he probably gets a third but the Leafs don’t have one & i don’t think NJ will wait for 2022 pick.

the Leafs dont need centers and they shouldnt be moving top 6 wingers to get centers, especially old soon to be UFA ones. it makes no sense
As for Simmonds, he shouldnt get a 7th. he's toast, he's washed, he's wasted. he's really really bad
