Description
I could be far off with these trades. Yzerman has his work cut out for him. Although I don't think Detroit is as far away as some people. Colorado went from worst in 16/17 to playoffs, and yes they had better players on paper but no one really knows how a player will progress from year to year.

His price could be an offer sheet and return a 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Both guys in the trade are former 1st round picks. Didn't think the value was too far off, but im only a fat nerd behind a computer so what do I know. Seider returns Point in a deal if that were the case.

Don't really like that AA trade. Ghost is decent at best and that 4th rounder is meaningless. Rather keep AA and let him fly when the talent is around him. AA should be dealt for a top 15 pick this year or a legitimate top pair Dman under 25

I don't think Ghost being traded for much of value. His down year hasn't helped his trade value, plus why would PHI get rid of him? He's a 3/4 Dman at 4.5mm cap hit, which is pretty good if he's scoring 35+ points/year. I also think Yzerman holds onto AA unless someone really blows him away.

Cirelli is definitely not going to get traded. I'd expect TBL to move Johnson or Palat along with Paquette, and take undervalue to make it work. NTCs almost always get worked out (especially if you aren't a long time vet). Also expect them to graduate a couple of guys from Syracuse to make the cap work (Foote, Volkov, Raddysh come to mind).

I don't think WPG or FLA has any interest in those trades. I could see FLA being interested in Mike Green for maybe a 5th or 6th round pick, but those forwards wouldn't be of interest.

Ah yes, I'm sure Cirelli will leave a cup contending team in the better part of Florida to come to Detroit for 500K per year more.

Lmao get real.

I wouldn't even trade Rasmussen for Cirelli, Let alone Rasmussen and Cholowski.

I'm not expecting that you know how amazing Cirelli really is every single night and how he's the next Bergeron in the making, so it's good.

But in a couple of years I'll point you out this comment and you'll realize how stupid it was

You do that. People think Rasmussen isn't much because he's a 20 year old in the AHL. (*cough* same place Cirelli was when he was 20 *cough*).

Yes he looked a bit out of place at times in his rookie season...but he was a 19 year old coming straight from Junior to the NHL and still managed to put up fairly respectable numbers for somebody his age.

The dude has a 6'6" frame and is only 20. Give him 3-4 years of working out and filling that frame out with muscle. Rasmussen will be an unmovable object in front of the net putting 30+ a year in the net when he's 25. I think Detroit will be happy to have him then.

Cool story.

I'm happy to hear Cirelli could become the next Bergeron. You guys must be so happy about that. And I'm happy for you!

Rasmussen has the potential to become the next Tim Kerr. And i'm very excited about that.

These are all ifs and when. Cirelli is making an elite impact, no hypothesis.

My point is I'm not trying to knock Cirelli or whatever his value may be. But I'm very high on the potential of Rasmussen and I wouldn't be keen on trading him.

As a Wings fan I want the team to be extremely patient with this re-build. Let the team take it's knocks now and let the talent develop. When the bad contract expire, the more mature prospects can fill their places.

Flyers would take that deal and run. Ghost is a shell of his former self and needs a fresh start. In addition they get his cap hit off the books. If he's moved it'll definitely be seen as a reclamation project and the team trading for him will definitely have to incur some risk. In this case the risk is his health. He's been pretty banged up the last year or two with the most recent issue being a nagging knee injury he just had minor surgery on.

Athanasiou is the exact type of the player the Flyers need right now; a capable two way center with serious wheels.
