Ok, so I’m not actually gonna cry, but I’m worried about the offseason with having to resign Barzy, Pulock and Toews. Ladd is going back so it isn’t terrible, but Parise is now a 2 million add on to our pay roll, along with the reported Pageau extension. I’m excited for the season, but the offseason has me a bit worried

I need to see the deal 1st before getting worried lol

Minnesota could retain, though. So, if they retain half and we send Ladd at his full cap hit, we're saving cap space right now.
Y'know, I was fretting about us losing our 1st rounder, and I still don't like seeing it go, but the reason I hated the idea was that Pageau was a pending UFA. Lou just signed Pageau, a 27 yr old scoring center who can kill penalties and is great in a locker room, to a 6 year contract. And that 1st rounder is lottery protected.
Fair deal if you ask me.
As for Parise, I say go for it so long as Ladd is the main piece going their way. I'd rather have an overpaid NHL 40-50 point scorer than a overpaid AHL 40-50 point scorer. If we have to give Minnesota a middling prospect or two, so be it. As long as that prospect's quality is below Bellows.
