The Canucks have no desire for Sean Monahan. They’re looking for a winger, not another centreman.

Flip the Vancouver and Montreal deals - I think MTL could use Monahan more and Vancouver a winger like Gaudreau.

"Rebuilt" looks more like "torn down" to me. You're trading away your three best offensive players and replaced them with Kasperi Kapanen, Ryan Poehling and Thatcher Demko, plus three horrible cap dumps. This means that you're going to use Mikael Backlund, who barely has more points than Sam Steel or Derek Grant, at #1C, Derek Ryan, who has never shown any likelihood of being anything more than a #3C, at #2C, and Mark Jankowski, who has 3 points on the season so far and doesn't look like he belongs in the NHL, at #3C. Plus you have Dillon Dube getting more ice time than Kapanen.

The more I look at it, seeing that fourth line makes me suspect that this is a troll post.
