I wouldn't trade this year's 2nd round pick for Puuu. Too good a draft. Id trade a 3rd and next year's 2nd sure.

Timmons-'' after the first 10-15 picks its a waiting game with no complete players. sometimes they take 3-5 years to get a call up ,sometimes they dont ''

we've historically done well with 2nd rounders though with half our top 20 all time habs leaders drafted there .
that being said two 2nd for a former #4OA tearing Liiga a new hole as he climbs towards top player in the league says its not long before everyone starts pretending they never gave up on Puljujarvi

Good points, but I'd be careful quoting Timmins*, an underperforming head scout who spends more time in the gym than watching hockey.
Puuu is among a whole group of Pts-per-Game players who failed to make it in the NHL. So I wouldn't be so absolute about the guy.

dude wtf are you talking about ?
he's not a scout hasnt been for about 7 years now , that was 3 promotions ago

Timmons rebuilt our inept Draft Department hired by Pierre Gauthier .
his first shot at being a scout was 2014 before that he was Director of Player development for a decade since he was hired.

MTL's horrendous drafting practices only started to Change when Timmons was appointed to oversee the players being drafted .
After 2-3 years he completely re-staffed the department including bringing in his friend Eric Crawford who's drafted more talent 2017 -now then MTL has had combined since Molson bought the team a week before the 2009 draft driving us straight into the ground. (chose leblanc over kreider then a week later traded Mcdonugh and others for Gomez )

Timmons rise to Power has come with a lot of hard work and after spending the first half of his nearly 20 year tenure without any real power to make change anything good that can be said about MTL's current depth is because of him .

People pretend Pierre Gauthier doesnt exist and like he didnt build and run that Draft Department into the ground exactly like he did CHI 2013-2017 just so they have an excuse to crap on the English guy. Its pure Prejudice

Before you crap on a guy you should atleast understand what jobs he was actually hired to do and when .
Larry Carriere in charge of cleaning up Gauthier's mess only made it worse and honestly as Assistant GM he put us in a position to fail until the very end resulting in his demotion to AHL GM . Larry's the real POS here he just got to hide from the media while Timmons took on the job he was hired to do in rebuilding the broken development system Gauthier left behind .

Otherwise it sounds like you just jumped on the bandwagon and have no idea about how bad Gauthier was . first taste of power as GM after Gaineys daughter died , PG chose not to offer Koivu a contract at all , low balled Kovalev and put out a team so bad that Mathieu Darche played top LW a good chunk that year after PG targeted all the russians he could (he tried moving Markov but he was injured on and off for 3 years and on a 6m a year deal with no interest at all )

My god bud take a Xanax. Start by learning how to spell the guy's name first. I spent 30 secs reading your 10 minutes posts...You have no idea how an organization works.
