McNiven and Lindgren are not good enough and Primeau need to play a lot of games to developp.

Habs need a steady backup for 2-3 years. Brossoit fits the profile.

The Pens say no fast to Schultz (ret), Galchenyuk (ret), DeSmith for Brossoit, 2nd, 3rd. Even without the retention it is a hard pass. This doesn't help the Pens come the back half of April at all. Schultz alone is worth more to the Pens playoffs than that entire package.

Brossoit, a horrible goalie, adds nothing to getting Tatar, so the Winnipeg trade doesn't help with that either.

If the penguins traded Schultz right now they'd get at least a 1st for him. I don't see any reason they would accept this.
