You are probably gonna get insulted for this trade idea. But I think this is the type of deal that is required to pull Tatar out of Montreal. If any team wants Tatar, they need to over pay, Bergevin likes him too much to sell or even agree to market value. Tatar has only been getting better and better in Montreal. Unless this type of deal is offered, I think he gets signed to an extension in the summer.

And as for the Pacioretty Trade comparison, its pretty close. Pac got a 2nd, not a 1st, but there is 0 chance Gagner ends up rebounding like Tatar could have [and did] (crazy how two months in Vegas turned him into a "throw in/cap dump".

They dont have the cap room to take Tatar unless you’re willing to retain but Bouchard would be a good target imo
