KK , Poehling , Juulsen ,Sherback ,McCarron , Galchebust , Boliou , Tinordi , Leblanc , Fisher , Chipchura ,Kotsitsyn .
Price , Caufield (too young to tell) , Mcdonaugh , Sergachev , Pacioretty didnt make the list .
Those are ALL the first rounder took by Timmins in 17 years . That's not good enough .
Would the Habs would have made playoff last year with Tkachuck ? Would we be better with Quinn Hugues learning at Weber school ?
Someone will pay and this is my guess , what yours , Pierre Gervais ?

I was curious so I goggled it and nothing came up so unless they are ashamed of each other, them being related does not pop up very easily. Even elite prospects doesnt have them listed as relatives and the are always on the ball with that stuff

Honestly i google it too and i didn't find it lol ! But i heard it and i got good memories !
Maybe it's just a little cousin tho . I can still be wrong about it , but i was willing to bet a little !
Beside a trade to Mtl (unlikely by all means) it doesn't matter much at this point .

TImmins and Mete were a WJC pairing, so that would be the draw to try to get him not fake uncle Trevor hahaha

I cant see any realistic trade that Avs and Sakic would move Timmins, he has been their prospect golden boy since they have drafted him. Hes good but I can even admit hes over hyped in the organization. They love teh kid

Im talking about Trevor Timmins record as a first rounder picker as a Habs since he took over in 2003 .

since 2003, montreal has missed the playoffs 6 times. outta those 6 times, they have drafted in the top 5 only 3 times. that has produced Price (Legend), Chucky (Average) and KK (still too young to assess, but we'll talk about him later). out of his other first rd picks, he has produced 1 number 1 dman, 1 potential number 1 (Sergachev). because u dont seem to like facts, he's also drafted 2 top 4 defensemen beyond the first rd (Subban (norris trophy winner) and Mete. fluery is still too young to judge). dont forget a 30 goal scorer in gallaghar, but because u want to stick to the first rd, ill forget him as well.
out of the picks not in the top 10, they have 14 picks. majority of them range from 21-26 in the first rd. not lets not argue as to who timmins wanted in certain drafts (2009 and 10 come into mind with giroux and kreider ). 11 to 20 is 65% and 21 to 30 is a 50% pick. The first half of the second round is 30% success and the second half is a 15% success rate. now tell me where are they gonna find a matthews or an eichel by drafting 23rd? even if u compare timmins to his peers, he's top 3 in terms of drafting. the real issue with the habs over the past 2 decades has been development. now they've changed that over the past few years with bouchard and the move to laval. guys like fluery, mete (short stint) primeau suzuki, poehling need time, but they are developing. mtl finally has a good development system. mtl would not be in the playoffs with tkachuk or hughes. hughes would still be in college, and tkachuk .
lets study tkachuk. tkachuk averages over his career, 17 mins of ice time, inlcuding mins on the PP and a top 6 role. he has 71 points in 121 games. Kotkaniemi averages 13 minutes of ice time, that 4 mins less than tkachuk, and he doesn't get a top 6 role, he plays with defensive players, like lehkonen, cousins etc. despite that, KK has 42 points in 115 games. thats 0.36 points per game. tkachuk is a 0.61 points per game. that is a 0.25 points per game difference. and that is due to an extra 5 mintues of ice time, and not only regular ice time, but ice time in a top 6 role with more offensive minded players. so next time someone says that Tkachuk is better than KK, tell them that they're dumb af because tehy cannot produce a solid argument to back it up. on top of that KK is still 19 and Tkachuk is almost 11 months older than KK. KK is born july 2000, while tkachuk is sept of 1999. now in order to back up my numbers, here's a great article for u to read. very detailed. if u still think that timmins has done a bad job, than you're just a pure idiot. no disrespect. cheers

Montreal has a bad draft record, dude. They've drafted one consistent player since 2007 - Brandan Gallagher.

I don't think they have the worst record, but the drafts between 2007 and 2016/17 leave a lot to be desired. Shane Churla's tenure has been much better though.

At least you're not trying to get into actual fights over it.

That wasn't clear enough .

First year 2003 he took Kotsitsyn when everyone even other staff member would have EASILY took Jeff Carter who byhimself would STILL be relevant TODAY .
2004 Late Chipchura terrible on the talent level but on the line of MANY of his other picks he's good at seing Nhl caliber player lots of late round find . NO SUPERSTAR OFFENSIVELY.
2005 His best . Price out of the blue , better than Martin McGuire that for sure !. 2006 David Fisher while i recall yelling Giroux name in my basement .,, Terrible pick
2007 McDonaugh + Pacciorretty AWESOME no doubt . 2008 nothing . 2009 Leblanc PURE BUST . 2010 .Tinordi cost a second also BUST . 2011 Beaulieu . bad pick (imo)
2012 AG27 Now it's interesting Bergevin was a scout and said he would have took Morgan Reilly but whent with staff decision . Terrible pick if u ask me .
2013 McCarron DESASTROUS PICK , Shea Theodore whent just after and i CANT imagine they didn't think about it ..
2014 Sherback .. MISTAKE again ! 2015 Juulsen i like this pick and to be fair we might never know because of injury ..
2016 Sergachev got Drouin yes GOOD YEAR . 2017 Poehling , he's big , but i doubt he's playing top6 somewhere down the line .. No wow factor
2018 KK im sorry but ATM he's just not on par with Quinn Hugues which SEEM to be perfect to play alongside Weber .. will never know .. Domi + Tkachuck+ Shaw would have been nice also will never know . Point is Timmins must be accountable at some pont and whether u like it or not , he's related to Kk performance FOR LIFE . Meh at this point . Kid look lost on the ice with his 12 foot pole .
Of COURSE HE'S YOUNG and younger than Tkachuck and bla bla bla .. but he's not younger than Tkachuck last year which was SIGNIFICALLY more valuable to his team .
2019 Too early .

I hope i was exaustive enough to your taste . IT'S NOT ENOUGH , it's my opinion .Now f o .

I don't think they have the worst record, but the drafts between 2007 and 2016/17 leave a lot to be desired. Shane Churla's tenure has been much better though.

At least you're not trying to get into actual fights over it.

Would u be kind enough to put me in the 'my cousin is ****' category and ignore my Capfriendly posts ? Im out of the country for a month so you can impose your opinion with all of your proverbial kindness and poetry without me to interfere into what you think is acceptable or not in here .
With regards your always devoted , A1111 .
