Rumored name is the Kraken, to me, it's kinda cool, but sounds like an ECHL team name to me. Also what's their chant gonna be, "lets go Kraks!"?

"Let's go Kraken! Let's go Kraken!" That would be my guess. Just like "Let's go Rangers" or "Let's go Devils" (I think that's the Devils chant).

My first choice was Steelheads, but since there are already teams in Idaho and Mississauga with that name, that was highly unlikely.

So I then wanted Sockeyes. But there's the whole issue with the name already used in a series of novels, so the NHL will likely try to avoid that.

I don't really like Kraken, it sounds kind of gimmicky, but I'm sure we'll all get used to it. I will say that Kraken does have the best potential in terms of logos and uniforms.

I agree, sockeyes would’ve been dope. If Kraken is definitely the name, I hope it’s Seahawks colors, not the red and teal

You'd think Jerry Bruckheimer would be just a little better at picking titles. Without a Trace, CSI, Top Gun, Pirates of the Caribbean...Where's his creativity now???
