Cup contenders that have assets tend to overpay. Giving up a 2nd and 3rd in 2022 is something they perhaps overlook.

I'd probably bump it up to 8. If they were 26 I'd give them 9mill×7.

And in MTL with all the tax, their contract need to be 1-2 millions more than other teams

pietrangelo will easily get a 10m x 5 and a 9m x 7 offer in free agency. both the money and the term are too low on that deal.

if you're fine with rebuilding, this is a good attitude. if you want the habs to compete next season, they need to add. they're ten points out of the playoffs with 30 games to go--it is obvious to the rest of the league that this roster cannot win a stanley cup.

Yeah, Bues dont give up 3 picks for Tatar especially if it's their 2020 first. He's been good, but it they lose Petro they certainly wont spend their only first on a forward unless it's part of a condition during deadline.

Krug doesn't want to play in Canada, All Canadian teams are on his no trade list. And Pietrangelo easily gets 7 x 9.5 not your low-ball offer.
