You're that sure Kaprizov is coming over to the NHL?

Older and slower? He does help us down the middle and is solid on the dot, but I am not sure the 29 yr old with decreased goal production of the past 3 years is what we want. I like the thinking though, we need help up the middle and on the right.

What if it was dumba or Zuccarello? I know they pricey but Henrique is very valuable to the ducks right now. If we’re looking for either a RHD or top scorer

I know a rebuild is coveted, but I'd rather get a higher pick this summer (like top 10) and just get back to competing by building around Kaprizov and company. Stripping it down doesn't guarantee you'll be successful and I don't think this team can even properly rebuild until the Suter/Parise contracts had a year or two left on them anyway.

I don't think trading Dumba at a low is a good idea unless we got a younger center back. Zuccarello isn't going anywhere whether the Wild like it or not due to his NMC.

Agreed Zuccarello is probably stuck here unless we sold it to him that Wild were tanking for a while.

He has said to the Russian media that he plans on coming over, his agent has said for a few years that he plans to come over once his contract ends, and our GM met with him last fall and said Kaprizov was excited about coming over. I think it's about a 99% chance of him coming over next year.


Not a fan of this trade. If we move Zucker, it should be for picks/prospects or at the very least a young center.

I would love to move Zuccarello, but no chance he would waive his NMC to go to another team in desperate need of a rebuild!

It's next season. His contract in Russia is up at the end of April.
